The Madison River is our home! We fish it everyday. Experience the Madison on a drift boat with one of our guides.
Variety is the spice of life! We also offer guided trips on the Big Hole, Beaverhead, Ruby, Jefferson, Yellowstone, Missouri and more.
Whether you're a beginner or an experienced angler, our guides will cater the trip to your needs. Choose between a half day and a full day and we'll bring lunch (full days).
Full-Day....................$800 per boat
1 or 2 people. Includes: all flies, tackle, lunch, beverages. Typically a 6-8 hour day shop to shop.
Half-Day...................$600 per boat
1 or 2 people. Includes: all flies, tackle, snacks, beverages. Typically a 3-5 hour day shop to shop.
Half-Day w/Lunch......$640 per boat
1 or 2 people. Includes: all flies, tackle, snacks, beverages. Typically a 3-5 hour day shop to shop.
Other Rivers........... $950 per boat (Big Hole, Beaverhead, Jefferson, Yellowstone, Missouri...)
Montana fishing license not included.
3rd Angler
We DO NOT allow 3 anglers on a boat unless the 3rd angler is 12 or under, no exceptions. There is an additional $150 fee for the child. We do not allow a 3rd angler for wade trips. 3 anglers requires two guides.
Deposit - We require a $300 deposit per boat for each day.
Cancellation/Refund Policy - A full refund of the deposit will be given if the trip is cancelled by the client at least 30 days in advance of the trips planned departure date. For cancellations within 30 days, we will refund the deposit if/when we can re-book the guide day(s). Full payment is due for cancellations inside 48 hours unless we can re-book the guide day(s).
We believe in Gore-Tex and Merino wool and we fish rain or shine. No refunds/credits due to weather cancellations.
Cash is king, but we also accept all major credit cards.
Clients will usually meet their guide at the Madison River Fishing COmpany or our outfitting headquarters at Trout Stalkers Fly Shop at 301 E. Main St. Ennis, Montana.
Clients will leave their vehicle at the shop where they will then ride in their guide’s vehicle to the river. The guide’s vehicle then gets shuttled to your take-out. The guide will bring the clients back to the shop or your hotel at the end of the day.
In the summer, light water-wicking pants and a puffy jacket are nice for the cool mornings. We typically shed layers as the day goes on. The weather changes fast in Montana so bring your rain coat! Water shoes are helpful for getting in and out of the boat at the start and end of the day. Sunglasses are a must for eye protection.
There is cell service in the town of Ennis, but many places on the river do not have service.
For a Full Day Guide Trip, deli-style lunches are included as well as non-alcoholic beverages and water. Half-Day trips do not include lunch, but guides will have beverages and some light snacks.
While we do not provide alcoholic beverages, if you wish to have alcohol on the boat you are welcome to bring your own. Your guide can also take you to a local store for beer or wine the morning of your trip if you wish.
