The Xmas Island Special in Pink is a bonefish fly on a size 6 hook from Fulling Mill. Pink is a classic bonefish color, suggesting shrimp against the flats.
Lead fish and strip it back with short pulls. The bright pink shows up well in good light, making it easier for both angler and fish to track.
On the flats, a quiet presentation and a slow, steady strip usually outperform extra casting distance.
