The T-Jig Baetis from Solitude Fly is a jig nymph tied in size #18. Size #18 covers the naturals trout encounter most often.
Built for tight-line (European) nymphing, where a long leader and heavy flies replace the indicator. The slender profile and dense bead drive it into the feeding zone quickly, even in fast water. Carry it in a couple of weights to adjust to changing depths through the day.
Tied on a jig hook, it rides hook-point-up, which means fewer snags on the bottom and surer hook-sets.
