McKnight's Crimp in Tan is a crab imitation on a size 4 hook from Umpqua. The crimped, textured body gives it a buggy realism that feeding permit find convincing.
Fish it on the flats with slow strips along the bottom. The tan coloration is a versatile flats shade for varied bottom types.
Permit are famously selective, so a natural drift with minimal false casting gives this fly its best chance.
