The Chubby Chernobyl Salmonfly Gray Wing is a #6 foam-bodied attractor dry fly from Montana Fly Co. Where the Chubby wears a bright white wing, the gray wing matches the wing color of adult stoneflies and is less intrusive — the version to fish after the hatch has run a week or two and trout start refusing the white puffs they've seen. The foam body and rubber legs keep it floating high through riffles and pocket water, buoyant enough to support a nymph dropper. Fish it dead-drifted along the banks during the salmonfly hatch, or as the dry in a dry-dropper rig.
