The Dalai Lama in Black is a #6 articulated streamer from Montana Fly Co., one of the most proven big-fish patterns ever tied. The articulated body and flowing profile suggest a baitfish or leech, and the all-black colorway throws a strong silhouette that fish key on in low light, at dawn and dusk, and in stained water. Built for swinging and stripping through runs, slots, and under banks, it hunts trout and any other predator that eats smaller fish. Fish it on a tight-line swing or strip it back with pauses — a legendary streamer in the color for dark water and dark days.
