Zach's Idylwilde Chubby in Orange is a high-floating Chubby-style attractor dry fly from Montana Fly Co., available in #6 and #10. Built to imitate stoneflies, grasshoppers, and other large terrestrials, the orange colorway is the salmonfly choice — the color fish key on early in the hatch. The foam body and rubber legs make it buggy and buoyant enough to support a heavy nymph dropper, and it floats all day through riffles and pocket water. Fish it dead-drifted along the banks on its own, or as the dry in a dry-dropper rig — an easy-to-see attractor for trout water.
