The Realistic Stone in Black is a lifelike stonefly nymph imitation on a size 6 hook. Its detailed profile and dark coloration suggest the large black stonefly nymphs that live under rocks in fast trout rivers.
Fish it dead-drifted along the bottom through riffles and deep runs, especially in spring when stonefly nymphs migrate toward shore. The size 6 profile represents a substantial meal that big trout rarely pass up.
