Enrico Puglisi's GT's Baitfish in Mackerel is a large baitfish streamer tied for giant trevally and other big-game predators. The mackerel pattern imitates the striped baitfish that big predators hunt in bluewater, and the 5/0 hook gives it the size and strength the fishery demands. Fish it on a fast strip to trigger the chase-and-strike response, and hold on — a giant trevally hitting a fly this size does not tap it. A go-to pattern when mackerel are the forage and the target is the biggest fish in the bluewater.
