Montana Fly Co.'s Balanced Squirrel Leech in Black is a #8 leech pattern tied to hang level under an indicator, so it swims horizontally like a real leech instead of dangling head-down. The squirrel hair gives it a soft, natural profile with lifelike movement, and the black colorway throws a strong silhouette in stained water and low light. Fish it under an indicator in stillwater and slow runs, where leeches are a staple — the balanced presentation keeps it in the strike zone longer and trout eat it with confidence. A go-to leech for indicator fishing, sized for trout water everywhere.
