Mayer's Jig Mini Leech Lucent in Rust is a #12 mini leech from Montana Fly Co. tied on a jig hook. The jig hook rides point-up, so it fishes clean along the bottom with fewer snags, and the lucent bead catches light and draws trout in stained water and low light. The rust colorway is a natural leech tone, and the mini size fishes well when trout want a leech they can eat without thinking twice. Fish it dead-drifted under an indicator, on a tight line, or stripped slowly through runs and stillwater — a go-to mini leech for trout water everywhere.
