MFC Wide Gap Streamer Hook in size 1 is a wide-gap hook from Montana Fly Company built for streamer patterns. The wide gap opens up the hooking space between point and shank, which improves hookup rates on the aggressive, slashing takes streamers provoke. Size 1 suits substantial baitfish and attractor streamers for trout, bass, and other predators.
When to Use It
Tie it into articulated streamers, sculpin patterns, and baitfish imitations where a bigger bite of hook gap turns follows into hookups. It is a natural choice for trout streamers with dumbbell eyes or cone heads that can otherwise crowd the gap.
