The Twin Lake Special in size #10 from Solitude Fly. A streamer pattern named for lake fishing.
Stillwater trout respond well to streamers stripped or trolled through cruising lanes. This pattern is a solid addition to any lake fly box.
Streamers imitate the baitfish, sculpins, and other forage that big trout hunt.
Strip them with an erratic retrieve, and don't be afraid to pause; many strikes come on the drop.
