The BLT Hopper in gray and tan is a two-tone grasshopper dry fly. The muted natural colors match the hoppers trout see along grassy banks.
Available in sizes 10 and 8. Fish it on a dead drift in late summer, letting it float naturally into likely water.
Target the undercut banks and overhanging grass where hoppers and beetles fall in; a sloppy cast that lands in the grass and plops in can be the best one.
