The Mantis Shrimp is a mantis shrimp imitation on a size 4 hook from Dream Cast Fly Fishing. Mantis shrimp are a favored food of both permit and bonefish on tropical flats.
Fish it along the bottom with slow strips. The size 4 is a substantial offering that appeals to larger fish while remaining castable in the wind.
Permit are famously selective, so a natural drift with minimal false casting gives this fly its best chance.
