Kurt's Head Turner Hopper in tan is a large grasshopper dry fly. The #8 sizing presents the oversized profile that turns the heads of big trout hunting hoppers.
Fish it on a dead drift along grassy banks in late summer, with an occasional skate to draw reaction strikes.
Target the undercut banks and overhanging grass where hoppers and beetles fall in; a sloppy cast that lands in the grass and plops in can be the best one.
