A Golden Stone dry fly pattern with a large, impressionistic profile. At #12 it suggests Golden Stone adults in a smaller package for pressured water.
Fish it on a dead drift during summer stonefly hatches, focusing on bank water and structure.
Big stonefly patterns take abuse all day — check the fly regularly and dress it so it keeps riding high through fast, broken water.
