The Soft Hackle Peacock Nymph from MRFC is a peacock caddis nymph tied in size #16. The peacock dressing suits a wide range of water conditions.
Caddis larvae and pupae are a staple trout food from spring through fall. Fish this pattern subsurface on a dead drift — under an indicator, tight-lined, or as a dropper behind a dry fly. Keep it in the box from spring through fall, when caddis are part of the daily drift.
