The Bonefish Scampi Bead Chain Barred is a shrimp imitation on a size 8 hook with bead-chain eyes, from Umpqua. The barred patterning suggests the mottled shrimp found on tropical flats.
Fish it for bonefish with slow strips along the bottom. The bead-chain eyes sink it gently, keeping it in the feeding zone without spooking shallow-water fish.
On the flats, a quiet presentation and a slow, steady strip usually outperform extra casting distance.
