The CDC Stone Craven in Golden is a golden stonefly nymph imitation on a size 14 hook with soft CDC fibers. Golden stoneflies are a major food source on western rivers, and the CDC adds lifelike movement.
Fish it dead-drifted along the bottom through riffles and runs. The golden coloration matches the naturals, and the CDC breathes with the current to suggest a living insect.
