2023 RL Winston Bamboo Fly Rod is a handcrafted bamboo fly rod in a 4-weight, 7-foot-6-inch, two-piece configuration with a cigar grip and spalted alder reel seat. Bamboo rods are the traditionalist's choice, prized for their smooth, deliberate casting stroke and classic looks, and this one pairs a fine 4-weight taper with handsome appointments.
When to Use It
This is a small-stream and spring-creek rod, made for delicate dry-fly presentations to wary trout at modest distances. The 7'6" length fishes comfortably under overhanging brush, and the 4-weight line handles dries and light nymph rigs with finesse.
Key Features
- Handcrafted bamboo blank in a 4wt, 7'6", 2-piece trout configuration

- Spalted alder reel seat with distinctive figured wood grain
