The Hogan Olive is an olive-bodied mayfly nymph built for the Baetis and Blue Winged Olive hatches trout feed on from spring through fall. Olive is one of the most common nymph colors in moving water, making this a high-confidence pattern.
Fish it dead-drifted near the bottom in riffles and seams, or swing it at the end of the drift to imitate an emerging insect. Sold by the dozen in sizes #16 and #18.
