A CDC French jig nymph in barbless (BL). The jig hook and CDC collar give it a buggy, breathing profile that suggests emerging mayflies and caddis.
Fish it subsurface in a Euro-nymphing rig or under an indicator. The barbless hook keeps releases quick and clean.
Run it through the heads of pools and the tailouts below riffles, where drifting nymphs funnel into the feeding lanes.
