This emerger pattern in size #14 imitates a mayfly struggling to break through the surface film, the stage trout target most.
Dead-drift it to rising fish during the hatch. Cripples routinely outfish perfect duns.
Present it with a drag-free drift, mending your line as needed to extend the drift through the feeding lane. It also makes a highly visible top fly in a dry-dropper rig, pulling double duty as strike indicator.
