The FB Zebra Midge in red adds a flashback wing case to the classic red midge larva. The flashback suggests an emerging insect, a trigger during midge hatches when trout feed just below the surface.
Fish it as a dropper in slow pools and tailouts. Size #18 matches the midges of winter and spring hatches. Midges hatch in every month of the year, so this is a pattern worth keeping on your rig from winter straight through fall.
