This Callibaetis pattern in size #14 imitates the speckled-wing mayfly that hatches on lakes and slow rivers.
Callibaetis bring lake trout to the surface. Dead-drift it during the hatch or spinner fall.
It also makes a highly visible top fly in a dry-dropper rig, pulling double duty as strike indicator. Keep a few in different sizes to match the naturals you see on the water that day.
