A hi-vis stonefly dry fly in black. The dark #4 profile matches Salmonfly adults while the hi-vis elements keep the fly easy to follow on the water.
Fish it on a dead drift tight to the banks during the Salmonfly hatch.
When the bite slows, try an occasional twitch or skate — a stonefly that looks alive on the surface is hard for a big trout to ignore.
