The Klinkhammer in size #18 is an emerger pattern that hangs with its body below the surface film, imitating a hatching mayfly.
Fish it dead-drift to rising fish. The submerged body is deadly when trout are taking emergers instead of duns.
Restock before your next trip so you are ready the moment fish start rising. Present it with a drag-free drift, mending your line as needed to extend the drift through the feeding lane.
