Bauer's Flats Crab in Tan is a crab imitation from Solitude Fly, available in sizes 4 and 6. The tan dressing blends with sandy flats where permit tail.
Present it ahead of feeding fish and strip it slowly along the bottom. Carry both sizes to adjust for water depth and fish behavior.
Permit are famously selective, so a natural drift with minimal false casting gives this fly its best chance.
