A brown-and-tan stonefly dry fly pattern from Montana Fly Company. The two-tone body suggests Golden Stone adults and works as a general large-stonefly impression during summer hatches.
Fish it on a dead drift near structure and under overhanging banks where stoneflies fall to the water.
Stonefly hatches bring out the largest trout in the river — be ready with a firm hookset and give the fish time to turn on the big fly.
