Umpqua Homeboy Tarpon Leader w/Fluorocarbon Shock 8' Clear 30/50lb

Umpqua Homeboy Tarpon Leader with Fluorocarbon Shock is an 8-foot clear tarpon leader built with a 30/50-pound fluorocarbon shock tippet. Tarpon demand leaders that turn over big flies, survive abrasion, and stay invisible in clear flats water, and this pre-tied leader delivers all three. The fluorocarbon shock section provides the abrasion resistance and stealth needed when a silver king is close to the boat.

When to Use It

Fish this leader for tarpon on the flats, in channels, and along beaches where clear water and leader-shy fish demand a refined presentation. The 8-foot length balances turnover of large tarpon flies with stealth, and the heavy shock tippet stands up to the tarpon's rough mouth and gill plates. A ready-to-fish solution that saves critical rigging time.
