Water Walker Purple #10

The Water Walker in Purple is Will Dornan's foam stonefly dry in a #10, from Montana Fly Co. One of the best stonefly imitations, it pairs a foam body and wing that float it like a cork with placed rubber legs that come alive in the current. Tied sparsely, it sits low in the film with a realistic, crawly profile for fish keying on stoneflies, and purple is a favorite attractor color that pulls strikes when naturals get refused. Fish it dead-drifted or twitched as a single dry through riffles, seams, and along the banks — a proven pattern for trout water in stonefly season.
