Big Fat Angie Craven in black is a bulky hopper-style dry fly. The wide black profile floats high and suggests large terrestrials and dark stoneflies.
Fish it as a searching attractor in fast water, or on a dead drift along banks during terrestrial season.
When fish short-strike, resist the urge to set too soon; let the trout turn with the fly before lifting the rod.
