The Copper John Red from MRFC is a red, copper mayfly nymph. The red, copper dressing suits a wide range of water conditions.
Trout feed on mayfly nymphs in every month of the season. A dead drift along the bottom, with the fly ticking along the rocks, is the most reliable presentation. Fish it with confidence in any month — mayfly nymphs never leave the drift.
Available in #16 and #18, sold by the dozen.
