The Trude in size #14 is a classic attractor dry fly with a down-wing profile, long trusted as a searching pattern.
Fish it in fast water and pocket water where trout decide fast. A historic pattern that still produces.
Present it with a drag-free drift, mending your line as needed to extend the drift through the feeding lane. It also makes a highly visible top fly in a dry-dropper rig, pulling double duty as strike indicator.
