The Caddy Shack Oct Caddis from MRFC is a caddis nymph tied in size #8. Size #8 covers the naturals trout encounter most often.
Caddis larvae and pupae are a staple trout food from spring through fall. Fish this pattern subsurface on a dead drift — under an indicator, tight-lined, or as a dropper behind a dry fly. It earns its place in the nymph box anywhere caddis hatch, which is nearly everywhere trout swim.
