The Wooly Bugger in Black, size #8, from MRFC. The classic black Woolly Bugger, a must-have trout fly.
Few flies have caught more trout than the black Woolly Bugger. It imitates leeches, baitfish, and large nymphs, and it works in virtually any water.
Streamers imitate the baitfish, sculpins, and other forage that big trout hunt.
Strip them with an erratic retrieve, and don't be afraid to pause; many strikes come on the drop.
