The Humpy in size #12 is a classic high-floating attractor dry fly, famous for staying up in the roughest water.
Its buoyant deer-hair body makes it a reliable searching pattern and a fine dry-dropper indicator fly.
It also makes a highly visible top fly in a dry-dropper rig, pulling double duty as strike indicator. Keep a few in different sizes to match the naturals you see on the water that day.
