Oros believes that future generations should be able to access and enjoy the waters we fish and the surrounding wild spaces. Oros will make choices that recognize the long term impact of their products and business on people and environment. Those choices include who they sell to and who they buy from.
Their name, Oros, is a kin to orogeny, "a process in which the outer layer of the earth is folded to form mountains." It's how the Rocky Mountains were formed 80 million to 55 million years ago. Both orogeny and Oros are derived from Ancient Greek óros, meaning mountain or high ground.
