Shelta was born from necessity.
Founder and avid paddle surfer Jurgen Shulz decided to design a hat, when one couldn't be found that worked for him or his friends while paddling. His design criteria were that it had to perform as well in the waters as on dry land. It couldn't get in the way when paddling, and most importantly, not flop in you face when wet or windy.
Shelta has grown quickly over the past few years and now offers multiple styles and accessories to serve the wide range of outdoor athletes and adventurers who demand gear as serious as they are.
