Homer Jennings has been building rods for more than 30 years in a career that began with years of apprenticeship served in England while stationed there in the U.S. Air Force. Messrs. J. O. Bonham of St. Leonard Rods and Ken Johnson of Falcon Rods were both kind enough to share their techniques with a young and eager student. When Ken Johnson retired, Homer purchased his mill and stocks of bamboo, and began the full-time work of dedicated rod building. It is more than 30 years since Homer sold his first rod and he has spent the intervening time perfecting his craft. It is our good fortune that he decided to move back to the U.S. where he is now building rods full time in Colorado.
